Purchased this for my father-in-law about a year ago. Had a chance to interact with it and it is a very solid starter kit. The quality isn't top notch but considering what you get for the price it is a good deal. My Father-in-Law hasn't had any quality issues with the kit and it has everything he needs for now in it. The case is decent. It is not gonna hold up with hard use but for having around the house and pulling out for the occasional cleaning it is great.
