With the Kaweco Sport something special was created in 1911. A pocket fountain pen that was only 10.5 cm tall when closed and could therefore be easily carried with you, but reached a normal size of 13 cm with the cap attached. At that time, it was advertised for women, men in evening wear and sportsmen. One of the most famous users was Sepp Herberger. The then coach of the German national football team brought his victorious tactics that led to the world champion title in 1954 with a Kaweco Sport on paper. Today, the Classic Sport series is based on this example. It offers classic and historical colours with partly gold-plated feather, golden logo cap and golden logo embossing. The colours include white, black, burgundy and navy
RELIABLE FOR EVERY DAY – The Kaweco Liliput fountain pen is available in five different nib sizes, making it ideal for any type of writing. All nibs are Made in Germany.
THE PRECIOUS RAW MATERIALS give the series versatility. Ranging from light-weight aluminium to natural and individualized copper and brass, to one-of-a-kind (blued) stainless steel. This series offers a variation for everyone.
IDEAL FOR ON THE GO – Our fountain pen is one of the smallest in the world with a length of only 9.8 cm (12.5 with the cap attatched)
THE MINIMALIST MODEL FOR EVERYDAY – The metallic body made from high-quality materials gives this ball pen a special haptic and elegance.
QUALITY SINCE 1883 – Our products are hand-assembled and individually inspected in Nuremberg, the city renowned for its pencils. First-class quality, high functionality and the best service has always been our priority.
First, the Liliput is tiny and probably even smaller than you are imagining. It's somewhere around the size of a golf pencil and a cigarette in size. It's a similar size to the 1920s Wahl ring top metal pens (it's actually even shorter if compared when posted). If you don't like writing with small pens, this one is not for you.The body and cap are all metal and they are very well machined. The body has subtle threads on the back so the cap can be posted on the threads, making the pen a comfortable length. It comes with a cartridge and none of my mini standard international converters fit in it. It does not come with a clip. The fine is very fine. More like an extra fine or a Japanese fine. The nib is moderately smooth, especially for being such a fine point. It's closer to a Pilot than a Pelikan feel.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It feels unique in my collection and all around well-designed for what it is meant to be.
